Janmarie Connor is the President and CEO of Connor Fine Painting, a nationally certified WBENC and Mid-States MSDC women and minority-owned business with local certification by the City of Indianapolis and State of Indiana. In 1999, Janmarie co-founded the business and helped to establish its exceptional brand as a commercial and industrial maintenance painting company. Finding the unfortunate stereotype of the painting industry completely unacceptable, she brought her years of organization, systems and process development to the table. The best of the best companies in Central Indiana continue to select Connor Fine Painting, for their repaint projects, particularly those who share Connor’s insistence on professionalism, safety, integrity and a deep appreciation for the employees that breathe life into these values. Janmarie’s company is a six-time recipient of the Zero Injury Award from the Coalition for Construction Safety, a testament to an all-out effort to make safety systemic.
A graduate of Indiana University and the Gestalt Center for Organization and Systems Development (OSD), Janmarie was also Principal of JH Connor Consulting. She has consulted in both corporate and nonprofit settings in North & South America and in Asia. Her work focused on helping individuals/organizations stretch beyond habitual ways of thinking and problem solving as a means to more innovative and rewarding strategic planning and goal achievement. Janmarie was recognized by the Center for Gestalt OSD as an outstanding graduate for exemplary success in a career of bringing sound organization development theory and process management to bear in her organization.
Janmarie enjoys serving on the board of directors for La Plaza, a Central Indiana non-profit with the mission of strengthening Central Indiana by advocating and preparing Latino students for educational success and connecting Latino families to health and social services. She has been newly appointed as the program committee chair for La Plaza.
Janmarie also serves on the board of directors for the Heartfulness Institute, an NGO and global nonprofit affiliated with the United Nations Department of Public Information. The organization provides tools and techniques for cultivating balanced, peaceful minds for the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and society as a whole.

Janmarie was selected by the Indianapolis Chamber’s Hispanic Business Council to participate in the two-year Mentor/Protégé program. It was designed to support growing Hispanic businesses by pairing mentor firms to assist protégé businesses with business development, foster the establishment of long-term business relationships between protégé companies and majority corporations, and enhance the capability of the protégé participants to compete more successfully in the marketplace. Janmarie counts being paired with Mario Rodrigues and Holli Harrington, of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, one of the most fortunate professional development opportunities of her career.
Her professional association memberships include NAWBO, IFMA (Indiana Facility Management Association) BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) IndyCREW, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, WBENC and Mid-States MSDC. She is member of Summit, a national organization for top owner/performers in the painting industry.
