Jamyce Curtis Banks | NAWBO-Indianapolis

Dr. Jamyce Curtis Banks

Dr. Jamyce Curtis Banks is in her first year as a NAWBO-Indianapolis board member. She is an experienced consultant with over 25 years of providing interactive organizational learning and training. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialty in mathematics from the University of Illinois Champaign­‐Urbana, a Master of Science in Secondary School Administration from Butler University, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a certified facilitator of the only research-validated measurement of Cultural Intelligence (CQ), interpreting CQ assessment results and providing diversity & inclusion support including facilitation of strategic planning, training and coaching.

Dr. Banks has been a workshop presenter, keynote and motivational speaker at the local, state and national levels on topics including equity, diversity and inclusion, unconscious and implicit bias, leadership development, and culturally responsive classroom management and instruction. Her mission is to facilitate equity and inclusiveness by changing cultural dispositions one person, one organization at a time.

Dr. Banks has been recognized for leadership and accomplishments by organizations including Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, the YWCA, Center for Leadership Development, Independent Colleges of Indiana and Indianapolis Education Association, Delta Kappa Gamma International and Pass The Torch For Women. She serves the community through organizations including the Children’s Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana,Pass The Torch For Women,and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

She is the proud wife of 39 years to Carlos E. Banks and mother to two amazing sons, Carlos E. Banks II and Curtis L. Banks.

Dr. Banks is Founder and CEO of Whatever It Takes Consulting, Inc. (WIT), which has an expertise in diversity and inclusion, bias (unconscious, gender, racial and ethnic) and strategic development. WIT uses a continuous improvement model to provide effective, customized strategic planning, workshops, trainings, coaching, and leadership and team development that support organizational development and performance goal accomplishment.
