Anushree (Anu) Bag is in her first year as a NAWBO-Indianapolis board member. Anu is a high impact transformational leader with over 22 years experience in varied leadership roles in multiple regulated industries. Anu is a forward thinking strategist and facilitator with a hands-on leadership style, is experienced in addressing complex issues by engaging diverse partners and driving adoption towards achieving strategic and operational objectives.
An Electrical Engineer by education, Anu is a Six Sigma Black Belt, trained in Lean and Project Management, and over the years has been very successful in utilizing her problem solving and strategic thinking skills to drive positive impact in several different organizations.
She owns Next GN, a consulting business that is WBE, MBE, and City of Indianapolis-certified, which has capabilities such as strategic planning, process improvements, enterprise risk management, analytics, program management, and specialized training. Next GN has worked in many industries such as healthcare, non profits, the power industry, and the entertainment industry.
Anu is very engaged in the community. An SKL grad (class 35), she has previously served on the Board of Directors of The Girls Scouts of Central Indiana and Coburn Place. Currently Anu is the President of The Bengali Association of Indiana, a 501c3 organization that engages in activities to uphold the cultural heritage of Eastern India, serves on the Boards of Directors of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House, and Chairs the Data Intelligence committee of NAWBO.
Anu is very involved in utilizing “fun and philanthropy” to fundraise for several worthy causes such as for the Riley Children’s Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, School on Wheels, and the Autism Society of Indiana.
