Romona Camarata is the new Director of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Mentor Program. Ms. Camarata is a Certified Career Management Consultant (CCMC), Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW), and Certified Career Coach (CCC) with 28 years of experience in her field, including career coaching, training, teaching and resume writing for top level executives.

Currently, Ms. Camarata is President of R.C. L’ACQUIS EXPANDS TO MEET CLIENT NEEDS

With much support from current clients and following previous expansions into Illinois and North Carolina, L’Acquis Consulting Engineers extended their regional growth into Kentucky on January 18, 2010.

The company announces the acquisition of LSE Engineering Inc., a leading mechanical and electrical design firm located in Louisville, Kentucky. Kenneth Peet, PE is a Mechanical Engineer and the previous owner of LSE. The two firms met after working together on projects for mutual clients. With current clients already in the area, the acquisition was a natural fit for Indianapolis-based L’Acquis.

NAWBO-INDY MEMBERS NOMINATED FOR 2010 TORCHBEARER AWARDS

Congratulations to NAWBO-Indy members, Laura Ciriello Benedict and Dottie Hancock, who are amongst 44 women nominated for the Indiana Commission for Women’s annual Torchbearer Award!

Torchbearers are women who have been pioneers throughout their lives and have stepped forward as leaders by breaking down barriers to women’s full participation. They have become true beacons of light and their stories of courage, perseverance and compassion create a lasting legacy of inspiration for us all.

All of the candidates for the Award have demonstrated character and accomplishment. Many of them have been pioneers in their industries. Most of them have inspirational stories to tell about facing tough choices and making significant contributions to their communities and to the State of Indiana. And, all of them have set the standard as role models for other women.

The 2010 Torchbearer recipients will be announced in an Awards Ceremony - the State of Indiana’s most prestigious recognition of women in Indiana - on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Indiana Statehouse.

RUBY NAMED ONE OF IBJ’S FORTY UNDER 40

Jennifer Ruby, Esquire, was named one of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty under 40 Class of 2010.

For the last eighteen (18) years the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) has been recognizing an elite collection of young people and including them in their esteemed and popular Forty under 40 group. This year, Jennifer Ruby was chosen as one of the 40 from over 230 nominations. In all, the IBJ has introduced their readers to 720 young people, many of whom are now very familiar names and faces of influence for our fair city.

On February 2, 2010, alumni from past Forty under 40 classes will meet the class of 2010 at the Skyline Club for a celebration reception.
