2008 Annual Awards Luncheon

Nearly 650 people attended the NAWBO-Indianapolis annual awards luncheon Dec. 13, which honored corporate partners and three individuals for their achievements as business owners and leaders in the community. The keynote featured Evelyn Mungai, a leading Kenyan businesswoman and entrepreneur. Evelyn shared with those in attendance her perspective on the glass ceiling faced by women in business in african countries and across the globe.

Members and corporate partners mingled with a large delegation of Senegalese business people who were special guests of the 2007 Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration. NAWBO-Indy President, Jannett Keesling and Senegals newly elected Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts received awards from Joyce Rogers, President/CEO of the Indiana Black Expo.
