TASHA PHELPS | Phelco, Inc.  Tasha Phelps has over a decade of experience in using technology to manage information. Her degree from Indiana University positioned her for a successful career in business with a strong emphasis in marketing and distribution. When beginning her business, the focus was to find innovative technological solutions for things that seemed to be the norm (such as online directories). The desire to use "search" functions on websites became so common that she taught herself HTML, Javascript and even a little Flash. She's quick to tell you that she's not a "techie" but her face always seems to light up when technology is the topic of discussion. Ms. Phelps is not afraid to share what she knows and is willing to stop and answer questions about her vision for the evolution of technology. She has not only trained elementary school educators, but also elementary school principals on an appropriate and efficient use of technology. Her focus has always been the utilization of technology to replace mundane and ordinary functions. As adjunct faculty to Indiana University - Kokomo, she continues to educate students about the strategic applications for technology in the 21st Century.
In service to her community, Ms. Phelps is a frequented speaker with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program - assisting youth with goal setting. Her involvement in other community and civic organizations such as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Save the Youth, Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation, and Multiple Sclerosis Society, have allowed her to both satisfy her urge for success and her passion for her community.
